Gun violence has long been a public health crisis and must be addressed. Gun violence has disproportionately impacted communities of color. These communities have all of the ingredients for chaos as they often include income inequality, poverty, underfunded public housing, under-resourced public services, underperforming schools, lack of opportunity and perceptions of hopelessness, and easy access to firearms by high risk people!

For the first time in American history a few of our nation’s largest cities are being ran by indigenous people of color. These same cities are ravaged with violence. Nomadd Group is dedicated to work with these elected Mayors and other community stakeholders to U.P.L.I.F.T (Unifying Public Leaders to Impact Future Transformation) and increase public safety, stop the violence, and start on a path to building more equitable and competitive cities through human capital.
We can’t do this without the participation of the community at large. We are in search of real leaders and stakeholders in communities plagued by violence. Your voice and experiences matter.
If you are an elected official, educator, faith based leader, community activist/advocate, healthcare professional, victim of violence, parent/relative/friend of a victim of violence, parent of a perpetrator of violence, then we want to hear from you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We will conduct community needs assessments and collect data to determine the needs of individual communities across the country. We then partner with various leaders and local & national organizations to assist in the roll out of programs. Each selected community will have a pilot program specifically tailored to that community with options for the implementation of the programs listed below and more.
STEM PROGRAMS
Access to STEM based programs for the youth to help with social emotional learning and other cognitive skills.
COMMUNITY TECH HUBS
Create communities that promote innovation for technology-based companies to become part of the economic structure of the community. Thus creating demand for talent, workforce development, and new infrastructure for tech startups.
MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Access to mental health professionals and services virtually and in person.
MENTORSHIP
Access to caring individuals and industry professionals that want to see the youth prosper and show representation beyond the music industry or sports.
GUEST & MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING
Access to motivational speakers, special guests, and literature for self improvement and empowerment.
FINANCIAL LITERACY
Access to student bank accounts, information on assets & liabilities, budgeting, crypto markets and more.
STARTUP ACCELERATORS
We will provide access to Accelerator/Incubator programs for entrepreneurs to grow their businesses with the guidance, support, and resources offered by Nomadd.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Nomadd will provide access to industry 4.0 career pathways to ensure that members of the community can get gainful employment and earn competitive wages.
APPRENTICESHIPS
Nomadd will provide apprenticeships through our partnerships with STEM based companies. Some apprenticeships may require minimum high school diploma and or minimum experience.
